Stainless steel square mesh (also known as square-weave mesh) is a precision filtration medium widely used in industrial screening and filtration applications. Dashang Wire Mesh offers a comprehensive range of stainless steel square mesh products—featuring aperture sizes from 20μm to 20mm(mesh counts ranging from 1×1 to 635×635), that fully comply with international standards such as ASTM E2016, ISO 9044, and ISO 4873. Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel grades—including SUS304, 304L, 316, 316L, 321, 430, 317L, and 904L—through precision warp and weft weaving, these meshes exhibit exceptional resistance to acids, alkalis, corrosion, and high temperatures.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Dashang Wire Mesh offers a comprehensive range of square-mesh products, with apertures from 20μm to 20mm and mesh counts from 1 to 635, available in materials ranging from standard 304 to highly corrosion-resistant 904L. Whether sourcing micron-level fine mesh for precision filtration (such as catalyst recovery or pharmaceutical screening) or large-aperture mesh for heavy-duty screening (such as ore grading or slurry filtration), customers can fulfill all their requirements through Dashang Wire Mesh, thereby significantly reducing supply chain management and communication costs.
Dashang Wire Mesh manufactures and inspects products in strict accordance with ASTM E2016, ISO 9044, and ISO 4873 standards. Precise parameter control ensures consistent quality and traceability across all markets.
- Aperture tolerance control: Average aperture tolerance ≤±6%; high-precision mesh tolerance ≤±3%
- Wire diameter deviation: ≤±3% (compliant with ASTM E2016 requirements)
A comprehensive range of stainless steel grades is available—from general-purpose to specialty types—to suit various corrosive media and operating temperatures:
- SUS304 / 304L: General industrial screening; resistant to weak acids and atmospheric corrosion; highly cost-effective
- SUS316 / 316L: Molybdenum-bearing (Mo ≥2.0%); resistant to chloride ions, dilute sulfuric acid, and marine environments; the preferred choice for chemical and seawater applications
- SUS321: Titanium-stabilized; resistant to intergranular corrosion; suitable for medium-temperature operations (500°C–800°C)
- SUS430: Ferritic stainless steel; resistant to oxidizing media; an economical alternative
- SUS904L: Super austenitic stainless steel; resistant to strong acids (sulfuric, phosphoric) and pitting corrosion; designed for highly corrosive, demanding environments
A complete product portfolio featuring diverse materials and specifications, serving a wide range of end markets including chemicals, petroleum, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and environmental protection.
Dashang Wire Mesh boasts stable production capacity and rapid delivery capabilities, manufacturing its own stainless steel wire with an annual output of up to 6,000 tons. Products are available in various forms—including rolls (standard widths of 0.5m–2m and lengths of 15m–30m), sheets, and cut strips—with customization available for special specifications. This stable capacity and flexible delivery approach help reduce inventory pressure for clients while ensuring a quick response to end-user orders.
The aperture of square-mesh wire cloth is the primary determinant of filtration precision. The precision of the mesh directly dictates the filter's capture efficiency and the quality stability of the end product, while its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance directly determine the filter's service life and maintenance costs.

Stainless steel square mesh specification
Wire diameter: The diameter of the stainless steel wire (usually in mm or inch). Directly affects the strength, porosity and weight of the mesh.
Aperture/mesh size: The mesh spacing between two adjacent warp or weft wires (usually in mm or inch). This is a key indicator for selecting a screen for filtration or grading.
Mesh number: The number of mesh holes per inch (or centimeter) in length. The higher the mesh number, the smaller the mesh hole and the higher the filtration accuracy. The mesh number is closely related to the aperture and wire diameter.
Porosity: The percentage of the total mesh area to the entire mesh area. Affects flow, air permeability and light transmittance.
Width: The width of the mesh (usually in mm or m).
Length: The length of the mesh (usually in m).
Stainless steel square mesh is the most widely used and common woven mesh. The most common and economic weave type is plain weave and twill weave.

Plain weave (1/1) is woven by alternating the weft wire over and under the warp wire. It is the most basic, simplest and most widely used weaving method. It ensures the stability of the stainless steel mesh structure, the square and precise cut of the mesh holes, and has a core advantage for industrial screening that requires strict filtering accuracy or classification accuracy.
| Twill weave (2/2) is that each weft wire passes alternately over and under 2 warp wires, staggered on successive warps. Its structural stability and precision are slightly inferior to plain weave, but it has a high open porosity, good flexibility and strong coarse wire and large hole weaving ability. Stainless steel twill weave has unique value in solving large flow requirements and heavy large aperture fields.
| Except plain weave (1/1) and twill weave (2/2), Dashang Wire Mesh also could provide special weave type such as 3 heddles weave (1/2) and 5 heddle weave (1/4). The wires continuously cross over multiple cross wires on the surface, making the mesh surface extremely smooth and flat, with a low friction coefficient. Because there are few interlacing points, it has good flexibility, is easy to bend, and has excellent openness and flowability. It is often used as a support net for filter cloth or filter membrane to provide flat support and reduce membrane wear. It is also commonly used in papermaking forming nets and dry nets, which require smoothness, good dehydration, and reduced pulp fiber retention. | |
As a high-quality filter material, stainless steel mesh has incomparable advantages:
• Strong corrosion resistance: It can be used for a long time in corrosive environments such as acid, alkali, and salt, and is not easy to rust and corrode. It is suitable for chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical and other industries.
• High strength: Stainless steel wire has high strength and toughness, which makes the stainless steel square hole mesh have good tensile, compressive and impact resistance, and can withstand large external forces.
• Good filtration performance: The mesh is uniform and the filtration accuracy is high. It can effectively filter out impurities, particles and other substances in liquids or gases, ensuring the purity and quality of the filtered medium.
• Good high temperature resistance: It can still maintain good performance in high temperature environments, is not easy to deform and damage, and can be used for filtering high-temperature gases or liquids.
• Easy to clean and maintain: The surface is smooth, impurities are not easy to adhere, it is easy to clean, and it can be reused, which reduces the cost of use.
Stainless steel square woven mesh has a very wide range of applications:
Precision filtration grade (20μm – 100μm, 150–500 mesh): Suitable for catalyst recovery, polymer melt filtration, fine separation in the pharmaceutical industry, and filtration of electronic-grade chemicals.
Medium-precision screening grade (100μm – 1mm, 16–150 mesh): Suitable for classification of chemical powders, screening of food ingredients (flour, starch, milk powder), coating filtration, and filtration of fruit juice and beer.
Coarse screening grade (1mm – 20mm, 1–16 mesh): Suitable for ore classification, sand and gravel screening, oil drilling mud filtration, chip screening in the chemical fiber industry, and sewage treatment screening.
As a manufacturer specializing in the production of stainless steel woven mesh, Dashang Wire Mesh strictly controls the selection of raw materials in terms of product quality to ensure the use of high-quality stainless steel wire to ensure the corrosion resistance, strength and service life of the woven mesh. Through advanced production technology and strict quality inspection system, we ensure that each batch of products meets high quality standards and provides customers with reliable products.
