Reversed plain dutch weave mesh, also known as RPDW, is a robust and fine filter mesh characterized by having more, thinner warp wires and fewer, thicker weft wires. This unique structure provides high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to high pressure.
Reversed plain dutch weave mesh is a plain weave where the typical Dutch weave wire arrangement is reversed. Thin warp wires are positioned very close together, while thicker weft (shute) wires are woven in at defined intervals.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This construction results in a mechanically strong mesh, particularly in the warp direction, making it highly stable and resistant to deformation.
The wires form triangular-shaped horizontal or transversal openings that run at an angle to the mesh surface, creating precisely defined pore openings. It provides a high active filtration cross-section and is excellent for fine filtration applications.
Backwashing Performance: Its robust structure and smooth surface make it highly effective in applications involving backwashing or mechanical cleaning processes.
The Reversed plain dutch weave mesh is primarily made from materials like stainless steel, which offers good chemical, acid, alkali, and corrosion resistance. The most common material, including grades 304, 304L, 316, and 316L, known for their durability and corrosion resistance.
The Reversed plain dutch weave mesh's strength and fine filtration capabilities make it popular in industrial solid-liquid separation and filtration.
Pressure Filtration: It is commonly used as a filter element in vertical and horizontal pressure leaf filters, which require high mechanical stability due to high operational pressure.
Centrifuges: Its robustness makes it suitable for use in centrifuges for effective filter cake removal.
Polymer and Plastic Processing: Used as continuous filter screens in polymer melt filtration and plastic extrusion industries.
Chemical & Petrochemical Industries: Utilized for various filtration needs in chemical processing, oil filtration, and sand control screens.

The reversed wire configuration significantly improves tensile strength, especially in the warp direction, ensuring excellent resistance to deformation under high pressure.
The triangular-shaped pore structure increases the effective filtration area, enabling higher flow rates while maintaining fine particle retention.
The smooth surface and stable structure allow efficient removal of filter cake during backwashing, reducing downtime and extending service life.
Designed for demanding environments such as pressure leaf filters, RPDW mesh maintains structural integrity even under continuous high-load conditions.
Instead of general applications, make them more solution-oriented:
Provides high structural stability and consistent filtration under continuous pressure operation.
Improves filter cake discharge efficiency and reduces clogging risks.
Ensures uniform filtration of molten polymers, improving product quality and reducing impurities.
Delivers reliable filtration in corrosive and high-temperature environments, including oil filtration and catalyst recovery.
