Stainless steel perforated sheet

Stainless steel perforated sheet is a metal screen product made by punching holes of various shapes, sizes and arrangements into stainless steel sheets (coils) using precision molds and stamping equipment. When selecting stainless steel perforated sheets, the following key parameters need to be considered:

Common stainless steel grades used

 304 / 304L — general corrosion resistance and good formability

 316 / 316L — improved resistance in chloride environments

 430 — magnetic grade with good corrosion resistance

 Duplex/other alloys as required for specific environments

 Standard (Base Material):ASTM A240 / A480,  EN 10088

Surface finish: 2B (cold-rolled matte), BA (bright annealed finish), N4 (brushed), etc.

Sheet Thickness

The thickness typically ranges from 0.3mm to 12mm, with common thicknesses between 0.5mm and 5mm. Thickness directly affects the product's strength, weight, and processing difficulty. Common manufacturing gauges: 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm, etc.

Aperture: From micropores (below Ø0.5mm) to macropores (above Ø100mm) can be achieved,   depending on the mold and material thickness.

Aperture ratio: This refers to the ratio of the sum of the areas of all holes in the perforated area to the total area of the board, usually expressed as a percentage. Aperture ratio is a key indicator determining its light transmission, ventilation, and filtration performance.

Staggered (triangular) - better open area and strength         Straight (square grid) — easier layout and fabrication

Size Specifications: Standard sheet sizes are: 1000mm x 2000mm, 1220mm x 2440mm, 1500mm x 3000mm, etc. Custom rolls or specific lengths and widths are also available upon request.
