1. Structural features

- Made of metal fibers through a sintering process. Metal fibers have a high specific surface area. These fibers are interwoven and sintered together to form a filter material with a three-dimensional mesh structure. The pore size can be controlled by adjusting the diameter of the metal fiber and the sintering process, and the pore distribution is relatively uniform.

- For example, filter elements made of sintered stainless steel fibers have good mechanical strength and high temperature resistance. In high temperature environments, such as hundreds of degrees Celsius or even higher, they can still maintain structural stability and will not soften, deform or decompose like some organic polymer materials.


2. Filtration principle

- When high-temperature gas passes through, solid particles in the gas are intercepted in the mesh structure formed by metal fibers. Larger particles are directly blocked because they cannot pass through the gaps between the fibers, while smaller particles are captured by the fibers through diffusion, inertial collision, etc. This filtering method is a combination of surface filtration and deep filtration, which can effectively filter particles of different sizes.

- For example, in the high-temperature exhaust filtration of industrial furnaces, metal fiber sintered filter elements can effectively remove solid impurities such as dust and soot in the exhaust, preventing these impurities from causing harm to subsequent equipment and the environment.
